About Us
Olson Fencing was established in 1994 by brothers Mark and Carl Olson in Powell, Wyoming. They started out by doing a few small fences for neighbors and friends while Carl pursued a Journeyman's electrician degree and Mark studied architectural engineering at the University of Wyoming in Laramie.

In January 2002, Mark and Carl decided to make their dreams of owning their own buisness a reality. They began to advertise and soon the calls were coming in. Mark began fencing full-time while Carl worked part-time and kept his job as an electrician. In the spring of 2003, Carl joined the business on a full-time basis.

In July of 2003, Olson Fencing, Inc. purchased the building at its current location at 176 N. Day Street in downtown Powell. The company employs a staff of fourteen and continues to grow with numerous contracts for state and federal entities plus their loyal base of customers in Wyoming, Montana, Colorado and beyond.

Mark and Carl are proud of their reputation for QUALITY installation and excellent customer service. The company strives to be the leader in the industry with ongoing training and strong professional alliances with contractors and suppliers.

Their mission is excellence in design, installation and service to all of their customers.

Carl Olson, Business Development Manager …with over 16 years experience in the fencing industry, Carl received a scholarship to the American Fence Association’s Field Training School in Athens, GA where he continued his education in the fence industry. In addition, he completed a separate training school in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Carl also holds a journeyman electrician license, providing additional knowledge in access control.

Mark Olson, General Manager…has over 16 years of experience in the fencing industry. He is certified as a Certified Fencing Professional (CFP) by the American Fence Association. Mark has attended the AFA’s field training school in Athens, GA and continues his education in current and upcoming innovations in the fencing industry.

Alan Olson, Owner/ Foreman...Rejoined the Company in 2011 as a part-owner and fencing Foreman. Alan has completed AFA field training school and has 12 years experience in fencing, carpentry and landscaping.

Dan Olson, Owner/ Foreman… has been with Olson Fencing, Inc. from day 1. Dan has attended many shows and classes provided by the AFA and recently completed MSHA training. Dan graduated from the AFA’s field training school in 2011.

Carol Kary, Office Manager ...Employed by Olson Fencing since April 2009 and handles safety and compliance issues plus human resources for employees of Olson Fencing, Inc.
